Ingredients
Some of the most frequent queries regarding our products, and rightly so, are to do with the main ingredients we use. Almost all of our cakes and bakes have a base mix which includes a free from gluten and wheat flour blend (Rice, Potato, Tapioca, Maize, Buckwheat). We use free range eggs and a dairy free spread which is made of sunflower and other vegetable oils. Raising agents (mon calcium phosphate, sodium bicarbonate); Xanthan Gum; salt, emulsifier and colour (natural carotenes). To our base we may add, where necessary, nuts, fruit, lactose free chocolate chips and various other natural flavourings.
We always use caster sugar, avoiding low calorie sweeteners on principle, and just because we can proudly say that we bake from scratch, we can easily make most of our products using fructose instead of sugar upon request, thus making our cakes suitable for diabetics as well!
Several of our clients have quite particular dietary needs, and as such we have gained a lot of experience catering for a range of conditions.
